Globalizing IR: Can Regionalism offer a path for other Sub-Disciplines?

Global International Relations (IR) research promotes more spaces for a broader spectrum of histories, insights, and theoretical perspectives beyond the conventional dominant Western ones in IR discipline. The primary goal this paper is to highlight that study Regionalism has significant role supporting initiative ‘globalizing IR’ by representing sub-discipline open new ideas, theories methods, especially those emanating from non-Western contexts. As such, one sub-disciplines Political Economy (IPE) with tremendous potential showcase global-IR trends. This article utilizes bibliometric analysis as proxy mapping out diverse complex intellectual structure IR.
